Grab a pen and paper and take notes! We learned so much from Aldo and anyone looking to publish and distribute a tabletop game will certainly want to listen to this one!

Feature: Aldo Ghiozzi Interview
How did Aldo get started in the board game distribution service business?
Why is it so important for a board game publisher to partner with a great distributor?
What does Aldo look for in a publisher/game relationship?
Is it better for a board game fulfillment and distribution center to have one large client, or several small to medium sized clients? “Better” being defined as money earned per time spent.
Is it better for a business such as Impressions to stick to board games exclusively and go the horizontal integration route, or is it better to achieve vertical integration by offering fulfillment and distribution services to non- board game products?
Is that vertical integration even reasonably feasible?
Looking at the life cycle of a board game, how do the sales charts typically look?
What does Aldo consider to be a great inventory turnover for a board game product?
Has there been, or could there ever be a scenario in which a board game publishing company would be better off taking their inventory and burying it in a desert than keeping it in their inventory?
Aldo strongly recommended publishing/printing the least amount of games possible. Even though you’re paying more per unit, he feels it ends up being worth it by mitigating the risk of having a large game inventory sitting on the shelf.
We’re in the board game business so make sure you stay happy and have fun!
